When Jesus was hanging on the cross He looked down at those that were gambling over his garments and torturing him and asked God to forgive them because they did not know what they were doing. God's grace is sufficient for all. All we have to do acknowledge we are sinners and that we can not do one thing that will save ourselves. Our righteousness is as dirty rags in the sight of God. Once we realize this we then have to accept that Jesus is Lord believing in our hearts and confessing it with our mouths. Then we will be saved. The Lord said that all who call upon His name will be saved. I believe that wholeheartedly. There is no such thing as people that are trash. Jesus died for all of us!
I implore you today please stop fighting and calling each other names even if you disagree on issues that are happening in the world. The devil wants nothing more than to divide and conquer and we in our ignorance are allowing him to do just that! He knows that if we are divided we will fall. Yes that is the plan!
Luke 6: 27-30 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.
1 Peter 3:9 9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
Last but not least remember this! Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. People are not the enemy even though it may seem like it!
We have to fight on our knees people! We need to call upon God for our deliverance from the evil and wickedness that besets us in this world. Calling names and telling tales is not the answer. Submitting to God and loving those that are lost and or unlovable enough to pray for them and ask God to save them is the answer. Hatred is the enemies weapon. Don't pick it up no matter how much what you see going on in the world angers you. Instead pray and rebuke the evil that is besetting so many people! May God give us all the GRACE and FAITH to fight this battle as David fought Goliath. The only rock we need is JESUS!
